Annually, WWE releases a brand new video game in coordination with 2K Sports; and while the traditional format has been put to the side for 2020, a unique title is coming to stores, loaded up with Mickie James.

WWE Battlegrounds looks to be the most unique platform video game in sports entertainment. Taking Superstars away from the ring and into unique playable venues, with amped up versions of WWE‘s roster.
"We're excited for Mickie James to be a part of the roster for WWE 2K Battlegrounds," said the game's exectutive producer, Sean O'Connor. "Mickie has a tenure in the industry and with WWE that stands the test of time, and having her as a part of our roster is a great way to appeal to both newcomers and long-time WWE fans."
The inclusion marks the eighth time James has been included in a WWE console game. After making her digital debut in SmackDown vs. Raw 2007, James continued to be featured in the popular series through 2011. More recently, she was featured in WWE 2K18, 2K19 and 2K20.
"Every year you hope to see your name on the announced roster for the WWE video games, and I've been very fortunate to be part of so many titles," James said. "Battlegrounds is a bit different than past years and has that good old arcade feel to it. I really think gamers of all ages are going to dig it!"
WWE Battlegrounds is currently slated for release on September 18, 2020 and will be available on Playstation 4, Ninetndo Switch, Xbox One, Google Stadia and Microsoft PCs.
